Expertise: Plant Pathology/Mycology
Research Areas: The research area is 'Keratin Colonizing Mycoflora of Indoor Environment'.It includes isolation and identification of keratinophilic fungi from indoor environments.It involved screening of keratinophilic and non keratinophilic fungi.A new keratinophilic fungi Gymnoascus reessii was identified.It also included handling of all pathological instruments,operation of camera lucida and preparation of cell suspension culture.Several antibiotic and homeopathic drugs and detergents were also tested on the identified fungi.
